The windward islands are the southern group of islands of the lesser Antilles consisting of the islands of Martinique (French overseas Dept.), and the independent nations of St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago.  
Grenada is also known as the Spice Island in the Caribbean. The wild grow in the innere tropical forrest of different spices like clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and mace make this island popular which in addition to its picturesque capital city St. Georges and its beautiful coastal towns and amazing sandy beaches makes of Grenada a perfect holiday destination.
